Fastems joins the Executive Forum for Advanced Manufacturing by Orgalim as of 15th of October 2021 with the purpose of networking, learning and supporting Orgalim’s work in leading the European manufacturing sector. As Fastems has its headquarters in Tampere, Finland, the company CEO Mikko Nyman will also act as a representative of TIF (Technology Industries of Finland) in Orgalim.

Networking, learning and insight-building

Nyman thinks joining Orgalim for Corporates and the Executive Forum is well-aligned with Fastems’ purpose and by learning from the best, the company can better serve its customers as well:

“As a leading automation supplier, we highly appreciate the opportunity to network with the leading manufacturers in EU. We also take seriously the call to have an impact on the future of the industry. Standing in between of the world of metalworking and the opportunities in automation and digitalization, Fastems is in a unique position to give insight to the trends and development of the industry for the benefit of Orgalim and the whole manufacturing sector of the EU.”

Given the global challenges with manufacturing productivity, sustainability and lack of skilled labor, Fastems wants to build a better future with the help of automation and digitalization. The company’s solutions combine the world of physical automation (movement) with automated information flows enabling production to do the right things, at the right time – all the time. The company’s digital manufacturing solutions enable automated production planning without the need for physical hardware, also for existing machine tools and other equipment.

About Orgalim and the Executive Forum for Advanced Manufacturing

Founded in 1954, Orgalim represents three key industry sectors: mechanical engineering, electronic and electrical engineering, and metal technology. As a pan-European federation, Orgalim engages with EU legislators in Brussels on behalf of its members—which include 46 associations representing over 770,000 companies in 22 countries. The organization aims to work with policymakers and stakeholders to create a policy environment that supports innovation and industrial transformation, bringing together industry and policy makers for constructive dialogue.

Orgalim for Corporates is a unique and targeted corporate access programme for future-oriented technology manufacturers with an aim to support Europe’s technology manufacturers in leading the twin green and digital transitions.

The Executive Forum for Advanced Manufacturing provides an opportunity for manufacturing business leaders to collaborate in a safe, pre-competitive environment, set the industry agenda, and build their thought leadership and reputation. It will serve as an advisory to Orgalim’s Board of Directors.
