[November 27, 2025 – Tampere, Finland]The CNC automation company Fastems is proud to share that it has been granted the Export Award 2025 of Pirkanmaa area in Finland. The award was presented at the Tampere Chamber of Commerce autumn meeting on November 26, marking a significant recognition of Fastems’ four decades of dedication and innovation in delivering intelligent factory automation solutions to global markets.

With 90% of its sales generated from international customers, the Finnish family-owned company Fastems has been granted the Export Award 2025 of Pirkanmaa, Finland. Fastems has established a strong presence in Europe and North America and is building a stronger footprint in Northeast and Southeast Asia, as well as Eastern Europe. Headquartered in Tampere, Fastems’ global R&D and production site employs almost 300 highly skilled professionals representing ten nationalities. Worldwide, Fastems serves customers in 45 countries with a team of 450 experts.

The annual Export Award, established in 1968 and awarded by Tampere Chamber of Commerce and Tampere Junior Chamber of Commerce, is presented to a company demonstrating strong commitment to internationalization, export growth, and opening new markets. The jury evaluates candidates based on international operations and visibility, near-term investments, and the growth potential of products or services.

The jury’s selection criteria for Fastems as the 2025 winner was the systematic development and expansion of international operations, and clear global growth potential of its automation and digital solutions. Through its history, Fastems represents strong technological expertise from the Pirkanmaa region and has grown, both in turnover and number of employees, to become one of the region’s significant technology companies. The share of exports in Fastems’ business is substantial, having already brought over one billion euros in sales revenue to the area.

The jury also commended Fastems’ long-term investments in developing future talent through close cooperation with local universities and vocational institutes. The co-used FMS Training Center at Fastems’ Tampere site enables the local manufacturing and automation students to train in a modern production environment, supporting the future competitiveness of Pirkanmaa region and all of Finland.

While Fastems remains proudly Finnish and deeply rooted in Pirkanmaa, the company emphasizes the importance of strong local operations near customers. CEO Mikko Nyman expresses gratitude for the dedication of Fastems’ specialists worldwide:
