14:00-14:15 Volker Schwegler: First Steps to Automate Milling Machining Centers

Increasing spindle utilization and lights-out manufacturing; minimizing lead times and scrap; offering safe, ergonomic and interesting jobs…everyone knows the reasons to automate. The real question is: how to automate? Welcome to Fastems’ educational showcase to learn experiences from over 5,000 automation projects of large and small. How-To-Automate-Tuesday is intended for subcontracting and OEM manufacturers, as well as other professionals willing to learn easy steps to automate 4 or 5 axis milling machining centers.

Learning Sessions: First Steps to Automate Milling Machining Centers

Welcome to take a 15-minute learning session on automating 4 and 5 axis machining centers. We will share the steps to automate machine tools for your unique production needs. We will also demonstrate our latest FMS called Flexible Pallet System (FPS) – a multi-machine automation system for horizontal and vertical milling machines with pallet changers or tables for zero-point plates.

Join one of the demo sessions and learn:

  • Which kind of automation is suitable for which machining center?
  • What are the technical requirements for a machine tool to be automated?
  • Your facility: limitations and preparations for automation
  • How to ensure automation meets your production needs (part mix, sizes, production volumes, etc.)?

Demo sessions on Tuesday 10 September at 11:00 and 14:00, booth A43 in hall 10! You can also book your own demo by selecting suitable time from our calendar.
