The focus of this year’s Fastems OPEN HOUSE event is on the topic: “Lot size independent manufacturing costs – that’s how it’s done” and will take place from June 5th to 6th at Norbert Kempf CNC Technik GmbH in St. Ingbert (Saarland), Germany.
Production operations in which unit production costs are entirely independent of lot sizes?
Visitors of the Fastems 2019 Open House event can see this in practice. For the first time, the event will be held at Norbert Kempf CNC-Technik GmbH in St. Ingbert (Saarland), instead of the Fastems Systems head office in Issum, and for good reason. Working in cooperation with Fastems, the entrepreneur Stefan Kempf has produced what is probably a unique solution that completely automates the setup changes of his machines so that related costs have been eliminated once and for all. During the 2019 Open House you will have the opportunity to experience this unique solution up close.
Another novelty related to production costs that are independent of lot sizes is the presentation of the Fastems RoboCell ONE. This flexibly configurable robotic cell enables virtually uninterrupted and thus highly automated production, even with high part mixes.
In addition to seeing pioneering automation solutions, visitors can look forward to an attractive range of fringe events, including interesting presentations. For example, keynote speakers include Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Bauernhansl, Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (Fraunhofer IPA) in Stuttgart, as well as Dipl.-Ing. Michael Lickefett who heads up the Factory Planning and Production Management department at Fraunhofer IPA.
Running alongside the event is an exhibition of partner companies.
