Hydraulic clamping

Hydraulics can replace manual tools in clamping. With this type of solution, the operator uses safe and easy two-hand control push-buttons to clamp and unclamp workpieces with hydraulics. Of course, the machining fixtures have to be designed for and equipped with hydraulically-operated clamping elements. Fastems offers two types of hydraulic clamping solutions: hydraulic systems integrated into loading stations and the manual hydraulic unit.

Hydraulic system integrated into a loading station

In an integrated solution, the hydraulic coupling in the loading station is automatically connected to the hydraulic coupling in the fixture when a pallet arrives at the loading station. The operator can use the control system to configure some or all the pallets to be automatically unclamped upon arrival at the loading station and configure the details of this automatic unclamping. The two-hand control push-buttons for hydraulics are integrated into the loading station operating panel. The standard solution includes four hydraulic lines.

Manual hydraulic unit

The manual hydraulic unit is a quick and easy solution for providing pressure to hydraulic fixtures. It is a separate unit that is used with standard loading stations. The unit consists of a power unit on wheels, an operating panel, and a handling unit with quick couplings. The operator manually connects the quick couplings to the hydraulic couplings in the fixture. The two-hand control push-buttons for hydraulics are on the operating panel of the manual hydraulic unit.
