Manufacturing execution systems (MES)
An MES control system can combine an FMS and an automatic warehouse in order to automate the logistics and manufacturing in a workshop.
An MES control system makes it possible to manage manufacturing jobs that take place outside the FMS. In addition to the manufacturing jobs and orders, an MES control system also manages resources, such as raw material, WIP, tools, fixtures, and NC programs.
