Fastems MLS is a configurable factory automation solution
The Fastems MLS is generally engineered to meet customer needs using standard modules. Its construction allows rapid customization while retaining the reliability of a well-tested solution. However, if standard modules do not match your needs, Fastems can engineer and manufacture custom modules that will meet them.
Material handling in Fastems MLS is performed by a rail-guided vehicle (RGV) called a stacker crane. As standard, Fastems offers five different types of stacker cranes that cover a load weight range from 700 kg to 10 000 kg. Fastems has also delivered customized systems that can handle much heavier loads.
The Fastems multi-level system has large storage capacity, but requires very little floor space. Load heights can be easily modified and the system can be easily extended. The storage rack can be built either on one side or on both sides of the system.
One stacker crane can serve multiple loading stations, material stations, and machine tools. The loading stations and other devices such as conveyors, robot cells, or washing machines are either selected from Fastems' vast range of standard MLS modules or custom-designed according to customer needs. An MLS-MD system with loading stations (one stationary, two with linear movement and motorized rotation), material conveyors, multiple machine tools (Matsuura H.Plus-630 and MAM-72-63V). Pallet size 630 x 630 mm, load dimensions 1000 x 1000 mm, D950 mm, load height 1000 mm. The system also has over 200 places for EUR pallets and gitterboxes (1200 x 800 mm, 835 x 1240 mm). Maximum load weight 1500 kg.
