Unlike workpiece-guided finishing processes with a fixed number of spindles and thus limited selection of tools, the RFC is designed for tool-controlled finishing. It therefore offers a very high degree of flexibility both in terms of the part mix (size, weight and geometry of the workpieces) and the number of tools provided for this purpose. The RFC is available as a stand-alone solution or can be integrated into a Fastems Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS).
